During the summer of 2019, during Winfield Fire Department's annual Carnival, a boy wouldn't give a girl the darn ice cream in the ice cream stand.

A few months after they met, that boy and girl realized they had much more in common than they thought and a friendship started growing.

The world had just shut down and everything was uncertain. But in the darkness of 2020, a friendship blossomed. A friendship that would soon turn into a companionship filled with enough love to last a lifetime.

The next 4 years consisted of guiding through career changes, paramedic school, many fire department classes, starting new businesses, health scares and challenges, the births of nieces and nephews, ups and downs, and so much more.

Through it all they had each other to forge ahead side by side.

And now, 6 years after they met, here comes their next adventure together, marriage.

My how far they've come from those two nervous humans on their first date, building Star Wars Legos and watching The Incredibles.
