March 16th, 2022 Natalie had the bright idea to message this strange guy on Instagram about a gym recommendation. She knew Shawn was always working out and going to the gym, well assumed based on his look and what he posted on his social media accounts, so she thought he would be the best to ask. After that message it turned into a friendship over the phone. Talking about random things, advice about different lift topics, and just building an awesome friendship. One day in May, Shawn had told Natalie that he was going to be shooting hoops at the park next door to where Natalie had lived at the time. Of course Natalie conveniently was walking Opie at the park during the time he was going to be there. She saw him on the basketball court shooting hoops, so they found themselves talking for hours on the grass next to the court. Of course Opie unsure sat facing Shawn the entire time staring him down. After that, they couldn't stop talking and Shawn officially asked Natalie out for coffee in July then soon after that they were in a relationship that would last forever!
