Where is the Venue?
Granby Ranch. 1000 Village Rd, Granby, CO 80446.
The ceremony will take place at the top of the mountain. Transportation from the base to the top and back will be provided (via chairlift). Yay for new experiences!
If this is your first time on a chairlift, do not be concerned. The lift can be slowed down and stopped for getting on and off.
Granby Ranch is approximately a 2 hour drive from Denver International Airport.
So where are the ceremony and the reception?
The ceremony will be held at the top of the mountain in Granby Ranch. Everyone will park their cars at the main lodge at the base and take a chairlift to the ceremony location. The chairlift speed can be adjusted for getting on and getting off.
The reception will be held behind the lodge at the base of the mountain.
Can I bring my children?
While we love your little ones, our wedding ceremony and reception will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you’ll take this as an opportunity for a special getaway! That said, we understand some families may want to turn the trip into a Colorado adventure. If you plan to bring your children, we’ll provide a list of trusted local sitters for the day of the wedding so you can fully relax and enjoy the festivities.
What weather should I dress for?
Colorado in the summer/ fall can be unpredictable. That being said, it will likely be sunny and in the high 60s during the day and in the low 40s at night. There is also a chance some rain could briefly blow through.
What is the altitude? How should I prepare?
The venue is at an altitude of 8,200 ft, the ceremony takes place at the summit at 9,200 ft. If you are susceptible to altitude sickness, it is recommended to stay in denver for one night to acclimate. We will also provide medicine if you experience some symptoms.
What is Mountain Formal attire?
Classic suits in deep or earthy tones and elegant dresses that feel polished yet natural. Think timeless, sophisticated, and fitting for a celebration surrounded by breathtaking views. AKA wear nice clothes with natural color tones.
What is Havdallah?
no, it's not a jewish dessert, its a Jewish ceremony marking the end of Shabbat.
How do I get to and from the venue from my lodging?
If you're staying in Base Camp One, you'll be within easy walking distance of the venue. Lodging in the Mountainside, Summit, and Kicking Horse neighborhoods is also very close—just a 3-minute drive or about a 15-minute walk.
There is a large parking lot at the base of the mountain with plenty of available spaces, and all guests are welcome to park there, whether you're staying nearby or farther away. Cars can be left overnight if needed.
To make things even easier, we’ll be running a shuttle service toward the end of the reception. The shuttle will run for several hours and transport guests back to their lodging within Granby Ranch.
If I have no chill, can I still come?
