If you are a birder, this is a MUST! This dairy farm turned wildlife refuge is a major hotspot for all of our migratory birds. The fields will be booming while you are here. Stop by to view Sandhill cranes, Trumpeter and Tundra swans, Canada, White Fronted, and Snow geese, ducks galore, and songbirds a plenty on their way south. There are viewing platforms along the parking lots and flat walking trails through the back fields.
This Borough park has a lot to see to learn about Fairbanks' gold mining history. It is mostly free admission, but there are venues for cost too. Go see a show at the Palace Theater for some Gold Rush theatrics.
