The Tea Room is located on the sixth floor of the Wilkens Building at 713 Walnut Street in downtown Des Moines.

The entrance to the Wilkens Building is on 8th Street, halfway between Walnut Street and Locust Street. There will be a sign and a doorman outside the entrance of the building. Take an elevator to the 6th floor and this will bring you to The Tea Room.

The skywalk entrance to The Tea Room is most directly accessible from the Des Moines Partnership building on the second floor. Take the stairs or elevator to the second floor and follow the skywalk directions to the Wilkens Building/Tea Room entrance. Once inside the Wilkens building take the elevator to the 6th floor which will bring you to The Tea Room.

The 9th & Locust Parking Garage and the 8th & Mulberry Parking Garage are both three minutes walking distance from the venue. Rates are $1 per hour (up to $10 per day) Mon - Sat between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. and free on Sundays. The SE corner of the 9th & Locust Parking Garage links to the skywalk providing the most direct route to The Tea Room. Please note the east half of the 8th & Mulberry Parking Garage is private parking.

We anticipate limited street parking will be available, but this may still be an option for some. This is free after 9:00pm Monday - Saturday and free all day Sunday.

We kindly request guests factor in enough time to park and make their way up to The Tea Room prior to 4:30 when the ceremony will begin. Champagne will be poured for guests between 4:00 and a quarter after the hour.

Yes! We have a block of rooms reserved for guests at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown. This hotel has skywalk access to the venue.
