Our Wedding

Ceremony 1 - 2 pmCocktail hour 4:30 - 6 pmReception 6 - 11 pm The bridal party will be using the time between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the reception for photos. We understand there is a break between the ceremony and the reception. The church cannot accommodate a later ceremony due to regularly scheduled masses. Please use this time to relax, refresh, and ready yourself for a celebration!

Timeline

Flying

Albany International Airport is the closest airport. It is about 20 minutes from Clifton Park. Please be aware that a passport is required to fly if your license is standard. If you have an enhanced license or REAL ID, providing your passport is not required.

Day-of Transportation

We recommend carpooling to the ceremony due to limited parking. We are providing a bus service to and from the reception. Ubers are limited and expensive around the Schurman residence due to the Saratoga Race Course and SPAC. We ask that everyone who is drinking to please make proper arrangements. Cars may be left overnight on the property.

Bussing

There will be 2 buses. One for the Holiday Inn Express and another for La Quinta and the Marriott. Please see departure times below. Both buses will leave the reception at 11.   Holiday Inn Express - 3:45 La Quinta - 3:45 Marriott - 4

Camping

Camping on the property is permitted. Please contact Natalie for more details.

Hotels

Please reserve your hotel room ASAP. The Saratoga Race Course will be in season which causes hotels to fill up very quickly and at a high price. The designated hotel blocks are listed below with discounted rates for the wedding. There is a 2 night minimum at each.

Ceremony Parking

There is a small lot at St. Mary's along with street parking. Carpooling is recommended.

Reception Parking

There will be signs and people to help direct parking at the Schurman residence. There is plenty of room for parking. Please do not drive if you plan on drinking. Leaving cars overnight is permitted. Do not park on the street.

Ceremony Attire

The ceremony will be indoors at St. Mary's. There will be air conditioning. Unpermitted attire- shorts- attire unsuited for a church setting

Reception Attire

The reception will be held at the Schurman house in the backyard underneath a tent. There will be no solid flooring aside from the dance floor, so please wear reasonable shoes. There will be no air conditioning. Unpermitted Attire - open toed shoes for the gents- shorts- floral green dresses (this is reserved for the bridal party) Permitted Attire- dresses/skirts above knee length- dressy pants for the ladies- rompers and jumpsuits- polos

Downtown Saratoga has plenty of shops and restaurants, buzzing off the energy from the nearby race course. Congress Park is located adjacent to downtown, with fresh spring water open to the public for drinking.
