Sawyer and Natalie had met each other years prior but only started to get to know one another through youth group.

Throughout the summer Sawyer and Natalie had been learning more about one another through carpooling to every event held by the church.

Natalie asked Sawyer to homecoming as "friends." Both Sawyer and Natalie knew they were fond of each other.

Sawyer had told Natalie he liked her but they continued to be friends for months before officially dating.

In May of 2020, Sawyer and Natalie officially started dating and spent the whole summer and fall together.

They went to many dances and sports events together and were inseparable.

Sawyer enlisted into the Marines in the Fall of 2022. Sawyer and Natalie loved each other dearly even through a long-distance relationship.

Sawyer proposed to Natalie in Hawaii at a nice restaurant with beautiful gardens and views.

They both are continuing long distance until the wedding in August, eagerly waiting to see each other every day instead of every few months. Natalie will then move to Hawaii where Sawyer is stationed
