Kylie and I met in 2013 when placed in the same geography class. Throughout years of being in the same classes and playing on the same sports teams, our friendship continued to grow and grow. Many memories have been made through sleepovers that lasted days at a time, road trips to hockey arenas, vacations, and time-spent just wasting gas and listening to music. Kylie is one of my longest friendships, and I am so grateful for her supportive, fun, kind-hearted, and easy-going spirit.

Billy and I met way back playing Tara soccer. Our friendship grew with us both having the same interests and hobbies. Many good memories have been made at campfires, road trips, the dirt bike track, trips to the Bahamas, and time spent sharing a drink listening to good music. Billy has been there through good times and bad- looking forward to having him by my side as my best man.

Ashlee and I met in 2013 while attending West Hill Secondary School. Although a few grades apart, our friendship began to truly blossom while playing on various school sports teams and spending time together outside of school (that is after I forgave Ashlee for hitting me square in the face with a rugby ball). Many memories have been made through vacations, girls nights, and sporting events. I am so grateful for Ashlee’s unwavering support through good times and bad, and can’t wait to have her with me for another exciting milestone!

Josh and I met in high school as had quite a few classes together. We both grew up in the country, which led to having similar hobbies. Friendship grew from there. Many good times have been had out on the ATVs, sharing a beer around a campfire, and around the pool table. Josh is quick with a joke or a one-liner and I look forward to making more memories with him in the future.

Cassidy is one of my two ‘sisters from a different mister’ as we like to joke. Although not related by blood, Cassidy has been family to me for as long as I can remember. We have been through so much together, with our friendship only continuing to grow stronger. Countless memories have been made throughout attending high school together, vacations, sharing the ice or ball diamond together, concerts, pool-days, and of course joys of remote university and isolation during Covid-19. I am so grateful for Cassidy’s humour, strength, support, and guidance and am thankful to have a sister by my side for this exciting time ahead.

Kory is my older brother. Like all brothers, we may have gotten in the odd scrap as kids but we have always gotten along well and maintained a good relationship. This relationship has continued to grow and strengthen as we now work alongside each other everyday and share the same passion for construction, and other hobbies such as baseball and hockey.

Sarah Jane is the second sister in my ‘sisters from a different mister’ duo. Although not a blood relative, for as long as I can remember Sarah Jane has been a big sister to me. She has provided endless support, guidance, kindness, and words of wisdom to me in good times and bad. Despite being through so much together, tough times included, our friendship and sisterly love has never wavered. I am so grateful to have Sarah Jane as not only a bonus sister, but as a friend, and am so lucky to have her by my side for this exciting time.

Geordie is my soon to be Brother in Law. Geordie and I initially met in high school playing on the same sports teams. Although separated by distance, Geordie has always been a close friend to me and someone that I have a lot of respect for. Many good times and laughs have been shared both at home and during visits to Alberta. Thankful to have Geordie as a friend and future brother in-law.

Although it feels like we’ve known each other for years on end, Courtney and I were recently introduced through her relationship with good-friend and relative Josh Deyell. Our friendship continued to grow with their move to Allenford, just down the street from our home, as well as similar interests in sports, country music, spending time with friends and family, and a love for a good ceaser. I am so grateful for all the good times we have shared together so far and Courtney’s kindness, support, and guidance. I can’t wait to have her by my side as I say ‘I do’ to Colin.

As a good friend and relative of the Stephens’ Family, Josh and I were introduced, and our friendship kicked off from there. With similar interests such as golf, baseball, hockey, and drinking beer our friendship only grew stronger and stronger. Now not only a friend, but a neighbour too, many memories have been made and look forward to making more in the years to come.
