Where are people hanging out before the wedding?
There are plenty of places to hang out with tons of activities in the "Things to Do" section. Home base for Natalie and Ben will be in the Casa Banana beach house (914 Ocean Blvd) on the Isle of Palms. Folks are welcome to come hang out with us at the beach there - just let us know if you're coming out.
What is festive attire?
Think cocktail attire but more fun. For us, this means bright colors, big hats, fun patterns, and all around good vibes while still being a bit dressed up and classy! Basically, what would your inner child want you to be wearing that's fun, fancy, and in for a good time.
Should we purchase you a wedding gift? What should I do with the gift?
If you'd like to purchase a gift, we're cool with it, but don't feel like it's necessary. Please see our registry for gifts that would be good for us!
If you do purchase a gift for us, please send it to our home at 3862 Cumberland Pond Rd, Raleigh, NC 27606.
How should I get to the wedding venue?
We will have transportation leaving from the aforementioned beach house. Otherwise, Lyft and Uber are easy alternatives for travel. Additionally, street parking should be available for anyone that would like to drive themselves.
The venue is a little hidden from the street. You will need to pass through a small entry way (houses on either side), walk down the driveway, and then should arrive at the house (middle one).
Were should I park if I drive myself to the venue?
There should be street parking available nearby. Please follow posted signage, but otherwise park wherever you would like. Please DO NOT park in the driveway.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving by 5pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. For anyone staying on the Isle of Palms, please know that there may be significant traffic getting off the island around this time, and try to budget that into your arrival time.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony and reception is currently planned to take place outdoors, in the backyard of Natalie's family home. The cocktail hour between those two is planned to take place indoors, with Natalie's family home.
What kind of weather should I expect?
The wedding is taking place in the early evening near the Charleston harbor in late May. You can expect it to be warm (think 80 degrees or so) with likely sunny weather.
What is the deal with food and drinks at the reception?
We have some amazing caterers booked for the wedding. We will have an open bar available as the cocktail hour begins, available throughout the evening.
For food, We will have passed hors d'oeuvres along with a few open stations during the cocktail hour immediately following the wedding. Stations will be set up for the reception, with many different food options that should cover a variety of dietary restrictions and should all be delicious! Feel free to go to any of those stations during the reception and grab whatever food you'd like.
As dinner food winds down, we will have passed desserts and a couple different cake options.
Finally, as the evening winds down, we'll have our final late night bites, also passed. Please come hungry!
How are allergies being handled?
We have a fantastic catering company and an amazing menu that should cover just about any possible dietary restrictions. If you have any concerns, please reach out to Natalie or Ben and they can talk through it with you!
Can I take photos during the wedding?
Absolutely, we love photos! We will have a professional there to take photos throughout the day, but feel free to take whatever photos you would like.
Are children allowed at the wedding?
Absolutely, we love kids!
How will we communicate any major updates if things change?
You should receive an email from us if things change suddenly.
Who should I contact if I have questions?
