Open 24-hours, the LL Bean flagship store is worth seeing even if you don't plan on buying anything. We definitely didn't and walked out with a couple...
Freeport is also where LL Bean was founded so that makes it doubly cool!
Mom, this one is for you and anyone else who has an obsession with all things fabric.
While Freeport does have a few breweries in it, this is the only one we were able to try and it is incredible. Inside you can find a variety of homemade brews along with food from their Nighthawk Kitchen.
If you're looking for an outlet mall just to kill some time, this one is huge!
Anyone up for a drink? While it's not in Freeport, but rather in Portland proper, Maine Craft Distilling is a neat little distillery cranking out spirits ranging from floral gins to flavorful whiskies. Serve it up neat or get it in a cocktail either way it's sure to be a tasty treat. If you're lucky you'll even get to hear some live music!
Looking for a quick hike? Check out Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park. While it is a short little jaunt through the woods the views you get by looking out over the water to the many islands is truly breathtaking. Don't forget to bring some cash for their entry fee ($6/person)!
