Where do I start? Well I had just moved to the Atlanta area ,with my 2 year old daughter , and I wanted to meet someone new. I wasn't looking for anything serious initially, but I was open to the possibilities. Well I joined a dating website named Coffee Meets Bagel and I met a lot of potentials. I connected with Kamaal and I remember when we first texted one another on the app, I said Hi Kamal! He quickly responded and told me that his name was spelled Kamaal. Lol! In my mind I was like okay, I see you.

Well we texted each other for a few days and then we scheduled our first date. I tried to kind of cancel a couple of times because I was nervous about meeting someone new, but he insisted and I am so glad that he did.

Our first date was at Applebee's. Since, I was new to Atlanta and Kamaal had been here for a short period of time as well, and lived in a different part of Atlanta, we went for somewhere in between both of our locations. I remember when I walked into the restaurant and saw him. I thought to myself, he is so handsome and why does he have a head full of curls? Needless to say when we sat down together to eat it was an instant connection. I was so impressed when Kamaal asked me what I wanted to eat and drink then after I told him, he proceeded to order my food for me. I thought to myself, now that is a man that knows how to take charge while also being considerate and kind. By the end of the date, I felt like I had finally met my other half. I knew instantly Kamaal was the one that my heart had longed for all of these years and 3 years later this still remains true. We make each other better and most importantly I love how he loves me and Jordyn. We are both blessed that he came into our world and has continuously given us real, selfless, genuine, amazing love!
