1. Use Wi-Fi Calling & Apps: WhatsApp, FaceTime Audio, Zoom etc. If your phone and carrier support it, you can make regular calls using Wi-Fi (no roaming charges). Example: T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon.

2. Use eSIM (Digital SIM): If your phone supports eSIM, you can get a data-only eSIM plan from companies like: Airalo, Nomad, Holafly, etc. Install it before or during your trip, no physical SIM required.

3. International Roaming Plans: Contact your carrier before your trip and check if they offer international plans. T-Mobile: Offers free texting and basic data in India on most plans. Verizon/AT&T/Rogers/Bell: Have "International Day Pass" options.

4. Buy an Indian SIM Card: Economical local rates for calls and data. Requires an unlocked phone. Popular providers in India: Jio, Airtel, Vi (Vodafone-Idea). You can buy a SIM at the airport or local shops (passport needed for registration).
