Our Wedding

Pam and Nate’s story began in the mid-2010s when a series of local parties brought them together, while Nate was visiting his home town of Kimberley, BC from California. Though their connection sparked, it wasn’t until 2020, when Pam had been working overseas in Africa and returned to her home base in Kimberley just as the pandemic took hold. Nate came back to Canada as well and they had the chance to actually get to know each other and began dating. Their reunion was instant, and soon they were inseparable—falling deeply in love.Together, they spent their days caring for their beloved dog, Daisey, and enjoying the great outdoors—whether skiing, hiking, camping, or fishing. Their shared love of adventure takes them around the world, and they cherish every moment spent with family and friends. Through it all, they built a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. They can't wait to make more of those memories with all of you at their wedding!

Traveling by Air?

I'd recommend https://www.google.com/travel/flights to find competitive prices with all the different airlines. You can either fly into Calgary, AB or Cranbrook, BC. The drive from Calgary is absolutely gorgeous, taking around 4.5 hours. Kimberley is only 15 mins from the Cranbrook airport. You can get a rental car at either airport, but they need to be returned to the same airport they originate from. Hoping those of you that are traveling in will take advantage and explore the area and take in the sights. Kimberley is surrounded by national parks, charming mountain towns, bike and hiking trails, lakes and rivers. Our small town has many local shops and restaurants to enjoy.

The Larix is a beautiful boutique hotel located downtown Kimberley, on the edge of the Platzyl. There are a handful of rooms on hold, so just say Ruby/Crowe wedding. This is really the only hotel accommodation in Kimberley, so if you are not planning on camping or Airbnb/VRBO, then don't delay to book!

Another alternative to camping or staying in a hotel is airbnb.ca. There is a great selection of accommodations to choose from in the Kimberley area. Anywhere in the Kimberley and Marysville areas are close enough to stay. There are a limited number of log homes on Airbnb that are located quite close to the wedding venue, so if that is your preference use the map function when searching and it will be the area located up St Marys Lake Road. There are options for accommodation up near the skill hill as well, which is very close to where we live.

Nates father worked underground here in Kimberley for many many years, and Nate and his brother helped with the building of the train tracks when the mine closed and turned into a local attraction, as teenagers. The tour shares the history of the mine and the town, and you get to take the train underground, fun for all ages.

Marysville Falls

The Marysville falls is a quick and easy walk with a big reward. Only a few minutes down a newly renovated path along Mark Creek.

St Mary Lake

Just a 17 minute drive up St Mary’s Lake Road past our wedding venue, Camp Stone. Right before the road turns to dirt, there's a sign to turn left for St Mary's Lake. Once you turn left it's just over the bridge, then turn right and down to a rocky beach with picnic tables, fire pits and a stunning view.

Platzl - Kimberley Downtown

Don't miss meandering around the Platzl while you are here, it's the heart of our community. So many great coffee shops, restaurants and store fronts to explore. Our pedestrian only main street is located next to our 1 and only street light so you can't miss it!
