Nate and Jessica met for their very first date at the YMCA parking lot in April of 2020. Most places were still shut down or had COVID restrictions, so the two drove around Fort Wayne and walked around Promenade Park. They quickly found that conversation flowed effortlessly and there was a comforting feeling like they had known each other far longer than just meeting each other. 

After a few more dates, the two quickly fell in love and became official boyfriend and girlfriend the next month. At the time, Nate was living in his dad's garage and still had a semester of college to finish at Ball State. Jessica was living with her parents and had just graduated from IPFW with her bachelors. After the best summer together seeing each other nearly every day, Nate had to go back to Ball State to finish his degree. The two saw each other every weekend, whether Nate went back to Fort Wayne or Jessica came to visit Nate on campus. They didn’t miss a beat.

Following college graduation, Nate joined the Army and was shipped away for half a year of training. At first they could only communicate through letters. In 6 months, Nate and Jessica only saw each other one time at a Basic Training graduation ceremony in South Carolina. They were only allowed to talk to each other for about an hour after the ceremony before they were separated again for another 4 months. Through the long, tough months separated from each other with very little contact, Nate and Jessica's love for one another only grew stronger. Nate and Jessica powered through those long 6 months apart and Nate finally got to go home. He surprised her, driving straight to her house from the airport and their reunion was straight out of the movies. 

Fast forward to March of 2022, the two got a house together in northern Fort Wayne and began their new life together. A short time later, Nate and Jessica's lives were changed forever and the adorable Adalynn May Ogle (aka Addy May) was born on June 15, 2022. Addy was born at Parkview Regional Medical Center and the 2 man team quickly became a 3 person family. Watching one another become a parent grew their love for each other even more than they could ever comprehend. Addy May has taught Nate and Jessica hundreds of valuable lessons about loving each other indefinitely, being a family, and how to calmly handle baby poop in a bathtub. 

About 1 year after Addy May came into the world, Nate proposed to Jessica at a beautiful resort in Mexico in 2023. Jessica said yes! The two have been preparing for their wedding ever since. Nate and Jessica will officially tie the knot in November of 2024!
