Sara’s version-
Nate and I started talking when he reached out to me on facebook messenger. If i’m being honest, at that time, I had no interest in talking to anyone and if it was just another one of those “what’s up?” messages he can go kick rocks. But it was Nate so it wasn’t just a simple, lackluster message. In it he mentioned his love of Disney, the number of freckles he had on his hand, his love of taco bell and other random things that made me laugh. So I responded to him- And surprisingly telling him I had a pot bellied pig (Rupert) for a pet that sleeps in bed with me didn’t scare him off. Our first date we drove around and looked at Christmas lights and ate dinner at BW3 and we’ve made that our yearly tradition.
I knew pretty quickly that I really liked Nate and wanted him to meet my family. So why not the whole family at my son’s birthday party. Except I’m terrible at remembering to introduce people so the poor guy had to introduce himself to my family. I also had my friend bring me a puppy (Maizey) to that birthday party- so double surprise for him. When it was time for me to meet his family at lunch I told Nate I was going to wait in my car for him cause I felt awkward walking in to the restaurant by myself. Well Nate wrecked his car on the way there so I ended up hanging out with his family for over an hour before he showed up.
We decided when Nate’s lease was up that he’d move up to Stone Creek with us. We also decided that we wanted to add another puppy (Charley) to our house. Nate moved in and everything just clicked perfectly. We continue to work on our home and make it a place for both of us and not just a house I bought before we met.
We decided to take a little weekend getaway to Niagara Falls. I kept getting asked if I thought he would propose on that trip and my answer was always “No I don’t think so, the trip was my idea and I planned it”. That thought was cemented in while on the drive up Zales calls him and leaves a message that the ring we looked at was on sale. So clearly he didn’t buy it!!! While looking at the American Falls, Nate pointed out that it was St. Patricks Day and it was one year ago that he moved in. Then he got down on one knee and asked if he could stay forever…. With the ring NOT from Zales!

And that brings us here where you are reading our wedding website. Thank you so much for celebrating this special time with us. We’re so glad you’re here!

Nate’s Version-
Once upon a time, on a cold and rainy night, I was scrolling through my friends’ snapchat stories. As I watched my friend Kayla’s story my eyes lit up in the presence of pure beauty. I reached out to Kayla immediately, demanding to know this goddesses name. “Sara Beaber,” she said, “look her up on facebook.” In this snap story, I realized Sara had a Taco Bell bag in her lap so I ran with it and messaged her.
From that day on, Sara and I exchanged texts back and forth until Christmas break would bring me back to my hometown. We finally got to see each other in person. From that moment on, we took turns driving to see one another and talking every chance we got.
I decided it was time that Sara met my family for my birthday lunch at Olive Garden. A week later, my dad passed. Sara drove to Columbus to pick me up because I was so flustered and was unable to drive. She even brought her newly acquired puppy (Maizey) to try and help cheer me up. The way Sara dropped everything she was doing that Friday and go make sure I was ok and get me back to my family, was an act of pure love. I fell in love with her that night. I have continued to fall every day since.
The following year, my lease was up on Saint Patty’s day and we decided to move in together into her house in Stone Creek. Exactly one year after that, we decided it would be nice to take a weekend trip to just get away and decided on Niagara Falls. Over the course of two years, Sara was very subtle in her hints at wanting an engagement ring. At Niagara Falls, in the middle of March, looking out over the falls, I got on one knee and said:
“I am not sure if you remember, but I moved into your house exactly one year ago today. And, today I would like to make that year turn into forever. Will you marry me?”
