Pam and I started our journey together in high school and spent fourteen years growing alongside each other. Despite most of it being long distance, we learned a lot about each other and felt deeply connected. We began as high school sweethearts, navigating the challenges of youth together. As I went off to college in another state, our commitment to each other only grew stronger despite the distance. We relied on notes, letters, and calls to stay connected, eagerly counting down the days until we could be together again.
One of the most challenging parts of our relationship was the time when Pam had to go to med school in China. That really tested our resolve to continue dating. The time difference, being one of the biggest factors provided an interesting challenge for us to find ways to stay connected, and made the time we did have together very special. Our relationship has always been centered around our faith, and we believe God has been with us every step of the way.
Our story shows that long distance relationships are about more than just physical distance; they're about love, resilience, and commitment. We've proven that love can conquer any obstacle, no matter the miles between us.
