Our wedding falls on Memorial Day weekend (May 23, 2026), which is one of the busiest times of the year in the area. It also happens to overlap with BottleRock, a large music festival nearby in Napa Valley.Because of this, hotels, Airbnbs, flights, and rental cars tend to book up earlier than usual, and prices can rise the closer we get to the date. To help make your trip as smooth (and affordable!) as possible: Book travel and accommodations early. You're Still The One Nathan and Emily’s story was written in music&nbsp;long before either of them knew it. For years, they were two performers sailing around the world on separate adventures, singing on different ships and stages,&nbsp;never knowing how close their paths were coming to crossing. Then, in&nbsp;2019, their worlds&nbsp;finally overlapped. If you’d told them back in 2019 that they’d one day be traveling the world together, singing side by side, and planning a wedding, they both would have chuckled in confusion, especially considering they had no idea the other even existed, let alone knew each other’s names. Nathan first spotted Emily&nbsp;on stage one night and couldn’t look away. Emily, on the other hand, was a bundle of nerves, scanning the crowd mid-song and catching the eye of one guy sitting cross-legged on the floor, grinning like he’d just discovered his favorite song.&nbsp;Somehow, that stranger, that one face in the crowd, made everything feel a little less terrifying. Afterward,&nbsp;Nathan pulled Emily aside&nbsp;to tell her how much he’d enjoyed her performance. A few polite words were exchanged,&nbsp;but that was it. A few days later,&nbsp;Emily saw Nathan perform&nbsp;for the first time and leaned over to the person next to her and whispered,&nbsp;“Did you just hear that guy sing?”&nbsp;Little did she know that his voice was only a small fraction of the things&nbsp;that would one day make him so incredibly special to her. They drifted off into separate adventures, never knowing the universe was already&nbsp;plotting a major plot twist. Fast forward two years.&nbsp;Nathan and Emily found themselves&nbsp;cast in the same project,&nbsp;still basically strangers&nbsp;but sharing that flicker of recognition. Then they were scripted to sing&nbsp;“Still the One”&nbsp;by Orleans, a duet that, fatefully, ended with a&nbsp;stage kiss.&nbsp;And just like that…&nbsp;the story changed. Suddenly, they were spending long days rehearsing, laughing over inside jokes, and discovering how seamlessly their voices and lives&nbsp;fit together.&nbsp;Two ship contracts later, they&nbsp;decided to write their own story&nbsp;completely and created&nbsp;Ebony and Ivory, their very own show that lets them sail the world and share a stage to their heart's content. And here’s something they’ve learned:&nbsp;Nothing quite tests your compatibility like sharing tiny cabins, living out of suitcases, racing to catch flights around the world, missing flights, occasionally sleeping in airports, sharing a stage night after night, and running a business together. But somehow, Nathan and Emily made it work, and still want to hang out after soundcheck. Which, in their book, is a win. And then came Tahiti. Nathan realized one of their gigs could wrap up on his birthday, a detail Emily thought was simply perfect for a little extra celebrating. What she didn’t know was that&nbsp;Nathan, who usually kept birthdays low-key, had a plan. On a hilltop in Tahiti,&nbsp;surrounded by ocean blues and a view that belonged on a postcard,&nbsp;Nathan dropped to one knee. Emily felt the world tilt around her, and time seemed to freeze. And when she finally came back to earth,&nbsp;she said the easiest “yes” of her life.&nbsp;Especially, when she learned he’d secretly flown to Cleveland months earlier to ask her parents for their blessing. Now, Nathan and Emily’s story is a blend of music, travel, laughter, and a thousand unexpected moments they wouldn’t trade for the world. And they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who’ve cheered them on from the wings all along.

Memorial Day weekend + BottleRock = heavier traffic and higher prices. Book flights, cars, and hotels early! The drive from SFO and OAK includes crossing a bridge with a toll. If you’re not renting a car, we recommend flying into STS for convenience or OAK for best value.

We’ve reserved a room block at El Pueblo Inn, a charming hotel about a mile from Sonoma Plaza’s shops and restaurants. It’s also just a quick 5-minute drive to our wedding venue, Denmark Street Vineyard, making it super convenient for celebrating with us!

Our celebration will take place outdoors, so thicker heels or heel covers are encouraged for the terrain.Sonoma in May is warm and sunny during the day, with cool evenings once the sun sets. A light wrap or jacket may come in handy.Elegant attire is encouraged - think black tie with a spring garden, wine country feel. Wear something that makes you feel your very best. We can’t wait to celebrate together on the dance floor!
