I was hanging out with one of my friends when he told me that there was this girl that thinks I’m cute. I remember looking her up on Instagram and thinking that I had to find a way to meet her. All week, I would pull up pictures of her. I was captivated from the start. I found out she was going to her best friend’s choir concert, and there was no way I’d miss it. I ended up going into the gym that day to fix a water heater, and I caught a glimpse of her for the first time. She immediately left the room. I immediately went and changed into my gym clothes because I had to put myself in her path. She came up to me like she was talking to some of her friends, and I asked her “Are you the legend Ana I have been hearing about?” She acted as if she didn’t know me, even though she had saved pictures of me in her gallery.&nbsp; We went to the choir concert that night and took our seats. I realized that we weren’t sitting beside each other, so I uprooted the entire group and had them switch seats so I could sit right next to her. We ended up going to Red’s and dancing, even though I couldn’t find the nerve to ask her to dance. We talked on the Red’s dock for about 30 minutes, and that is when we both knew there was something real between us.&nbsp; This began the pursuit of Katyn. I worked out multiple times a day, just to spend time with her. Nothing else mattered besides her. I eventually wrote a song about her, and played it for her before she went home for Christmas break. I knew I had to make an impactful push to keep the pursuit heavy throughout the distance. A year a half and an engagement later, I am more in love than I was the first time I told her. Praise Jesus for this blessing!

Nathan's Perspective

Back in 2022, we had friends trying to set us up for months. I refused to meet him, even though I had stalked him on Instagram and thought he was cute. On December 3rd, we both ran into each other at the gym. We made eye contact, so I ran out, called my best friend, and she forced me to go back into the gym. Nathan, as confident as ever, came up to me and said, "Are you the legend Ana I've been hearing about?" That's the day it all began. Nathan pursued me in the way that my dad said I always deserved. He was set apart, and it was evident. After our official first date at Mellow Mushroom, Nathan called his mom and said, "I just went out with the woman I am going to marry." And he was right. The next couple weeks included flowers, dates, surprise sticky notes, laughter, and a whole lot of talking. (Not a surprise if you know me or Nathan. There is never a lot of silence!) On January 17th, 2023, after Nathan met my family, he took me to Riverfront Park and asked me to be his girlfriend. A year and some time later, on February 24th, 2024, Nathan took me back to Riverfront Park and asked me to be his wife. There are a lot of details in our story that point to the faithfulness of the Lord. He has been leading and guiding both of us long before we met. Because we both pursued the Lord apart from each other, our relationship has been so fruitful as we now pursue Him together. God is faithful and kind, and we are so excited to be ministry partners and best friends forever!
