What should I wear?

Our wedding will be semi-formal. We love everyone to be comfortable, so keep that in mind. ;)

What will the weather be like this time of year?

May in Missouri is a complicated time. The temperatures are usually in the 70's. It might rain, but not to worry, the wedding and reception are both inside.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. Then tune in to the livestream on May 22!

How do I get to the venue?

There is lots of street parking, but 2 parking garages are within a block of the Veridian. See below.

What time should I arrive?

Please allow time to park & walk to the Veridian (next to Norman's Bridal). The Wedding starts at 3 pm, Music Prelude at 2:45 pm

Can I bring a date?

The Veridian has a very strict capacity rule, so, if you wish to bring a date/guest who is not on the RSVP, please contact us so that we can make sure we do not go above the limit.

Are the ceremony and reception location accessible?

There is an elevator available to those who need it. If you need your vehicle parked for you, please contact us ahead of time, and a groomsman can be available to park for you.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Our wedding is being catered by King's Asian Chef. There will be a selection of vegetarian Asian food for dinner. Water and lemonade will be provided for drinks. There will be an ice cream bar for dessert.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Pictures can only be take before and after the wedding ceremony. Be sure to tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #mydefender2022 so we can see them too!

Is there anything I can do to help?

After the wedding, the room will need to be flipped to the reception set-up. Everything will be ready to go beforehand, but if you want to help move the tables and chairs into place, that would be much appreciated.

Where can I fly into?

The airport here in town is the Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF).

Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) - 2 hours away.

Tulsa International Airport (TUL) - 2.5 hours away.

Kansas City International Airport (MCI) - 3 hours away.

St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) - 3 hours away.

For out of town guests, we have reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Hampton Inn Springfield South, 3232 S Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO 65804. Will covid affect this event?

We unfortunately can't predict that. However, we do ask that everyone be as careful as possible. If you feel sick at all, we will greatly miss you, but it will be livestreamed. Masks are not required in Springfield at this time.
