Nathan and Ashlyn met during their freshman year at Northwestern College. In January of 2023 they joined the same group of close friends and got to know each other in a group setting. Ashlyn had a very particular list of expectations she had for dating, so she was not expecting anyone to check off all the boxes. Nathan was waiting for the woman the Lord had for him, trusting Him through the process. Through many interactions, Ashlyn stood out as someone beautiful both on the inside and outside, her spirit and loving heart setting her apart. Over the next month, they began to see how each person fulfilled and exceeded the other's expectations, hopes, and dreams.

Nathan asked to pursue Ashlyn in early February, and it became official on the 10th after a spontaneous Culvers drive. From that moment on, many conversations and interactions between the couple continued to point them towards the Lord. One scenario after the next, the Lord used each of their experiences along with outside sources to speak truth into their relationship.

With counselors, pastors, and their friends, Nathan and Ashlyn have taken tremendous leaps towards pursuing each other with the Lord at the center.

They both look forward to have many prayers and support from family and friends with their future together as husband and wife!
