Nate and Hannah met through mutual friends during their freshman year right before students were sent home for Covid-19.
-- We assumed we never would see each other again and would possibly stay in touch over the summer, but not extensively (we were definitely wrong).

Nate and Hannah ended up continously talking during quarantine and hung out altogether with their friends Washington when Hannah came up to visit.
-- This was the first time we had seen each other in 4 months, but we still were friends at this time.

-- Nate and Hannah spent the day listening to worship music and laying in the sun at Venice beach. She was so excited to know that the feelings were mutual after the past few months. This was the official start of it all!

Our ENGAGEMENT!
-- Nate surprised Hannah by telling her they were going to a birthday dinner his parents reserved for the two of them in Laguna Beach. Nate's parents coincidentally called and apologetically said they provided the wrong reservation time and that there would be time to hang out and maybe go to the beach.
-- Nate suggested they go to Treasure Island, somewhere Hannah had suggested before and happened to be nearby, to which Hannah stated no because she was wearing a dress and heels (she was confusing the location with Thousand Steps because she has never been one for geography). Without her figuring out any of the plan, Nate walked Hannah along a cliffside in Laguna Beach until they reached the stairs where he suggested they go down to the sand. Hannah was so caught off guard by the proposal setup that she just kept repeating "Is this for me??". Nate asked Hannah to be his wife, she replied with an absolute YES, and they took in the moment just the two of them. After a minute or so, Nate pulled off another surprise and turned Hannah to face their families that watched the entire proposal in secret from the cliff. Of course, Hannah cried, and they now have the sweetest memory the best day of their lives so far.
-- We cannot wait to get married and become one, and we are so excited to have you there to celebrate our love! Kleppe 2024!!
