As May 24th approaches, we become more thankful each day for how the Lord has weaved our lives together for His glory and our good.


We both entered our freshmen year at Northwestern College in August of 2022. Even though, the campus is small in Orange City, our paths did not cross until the end of first semester.


By the end of our first semester of freshmen year, we found ourselves in a friend group together. We both saw how the other was serving the Lord daily.


I, Leah, quickly noticed how Nathan is an attentive listener, has a deep heart for others to know the Gospel, and always found his way to a seat next to me when our friends would play a game of Uno.


I, Nathan, noticed right away that Leah is someone who loves those around her so selflessly and constantly, has a heart for those who don’t know the Lord, and someone who I would deliver popcorn to in the middle of winter wearing shorts just so I could talk with her more.


During the spring of our freshmen year, we prayed often about where the Lord was leading us next. After many conversations with wise counsel, we began dating on April 23, 2023!


We spent a summer doing long distance then headed back to Northwestern for our sophomore year. We could clearly see the Lords faithfulness in our relationship and prayed that He would reveal His sovereign will for whatever was next.


Sophomore year included learning alongside each other at church, serving together, and being in community amongst fellow believers. We prayed that if it was the Lords plan, we would get to do this together for the rest of our lives.


Fast forward to July 27, 2024, Nathan proposed at Good Earth State Park! We are beyond excited that we get to spend all of our days furthering the Lords kingdom together. We praise the Lord everyday for the sweet gift He has given us!
