Nathan & McKenzie met during UC welcome weekend going into Nate's Junior year of college and McKenzie's Sophmore year of college. Thanks to McKenzie's college roommate who went to high school with Nate, she introduced them. It took a few years for them to figure out they liked each other. They then started dating in November of 2019 when Nate took McKenzie to his work Christmas party and introduced her to everyone as his girlfriend.

Fast forward 4 years and in true Nate & McKenzie fashion Nate proposed at a place that held a special meaning in their heart. They both shared a love for UC football and had season tickets. So what did Nate do, he proposed on UC campus before a home football game, celebrating with all their friends and family tailgating for the game.
