Nate and I met in April 2023 like many modern couples - online! Nate sent me a “like” on Hinge and I slid into his DMs to say I hoped he was enjoying the beautiful weather. Very smooth, I know!

Nate asked me out to dinner at Goodfellows, but I had been horribly sick that week and asked to postpone. Since I wasn’t back to 100%, I invited Nate over for lunch later that week and we talked for HOURS! Nate took me to a delicious dinner at Coleman’s a few days later once I was feeling better.

Nate and I were both looking for a friend - I had just lost Dad and he was heading to training in Georgia. After many phone calls, text messages, and FaceTime calls, we realized that our connection was way more than a simple friendship. Like they say, “when you know, you know!”

On June 3rd, Nate surprised me with a picnic, including my favorite wine, snacks, and sandwiches! We sat in a field overlooking the water in Sackets Harbor with perfect weather. He wrote a note asking me to officially be his girlfriend!
