Are my children invited ?
To allow parents to have a night off and all guests to relax we have chosen to make our special day child free with some exceptions (those in the wedding party, older immediate family, etc). Unless your invitation states “family” or your child’s name specifically, the invite is just meant for you and your guest. We hope you understand and can still enjoy us!
Can I take pictures ?
We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning we are asking that guests do not take photos or videos during that time. We hired an amazing photographer and the bride really does not want to see cellphones in the air as she walks down the isle 😉 After the ceremony you are more than welcome to take photos. Thank you!
Bar?
There will be an open bar of select drinks in the Summer Salon starting at 4:30 while supplies last, once they run out it’s a cash bar! If you would like to grab a drink before then there are other bars in the resort as well (Boundary Waters and The Lounge).
What to do in between ceremony and reception ?
After the ceremony the bride and groom will be taking pictures for about 1 hr and 45 minutes. During that time you can head to the Four Seasons and explore the island and resort, mingle with guests, check into your room, or even stop by Boundary Waters or the Lounge for a drink. You can make your way upstairs to the banquet area (Summer Salon) at 4:00 and check out the guest book, grab a favor, and find your seat for dinner. Banquet doors for the Summer Salon open at 4:30.
Where’s the banquet room/Summer Salon? How do I get there ?
To get to the banquet room/Summer Salon where dinner will be held take an elevator to the 3d floor of the hotel (or walk in from the giant staircase outside to the lobby) and look for the door across from the Diamond Room restaurant and next to the kitchen and take the stairs up to the top level. Look for a sign by the door.
It is on the same floor (3d) as Lillie’s Ice Cream Parlor and the Lounge Bar. Guests are welcome to head upstairs at 4:00, banquet doors open at 4:30. See the map below if you have any trouble finding it.
