It all started in January 2019 when fate brought us together on a dating app, Hinge. From the very first date — which lasted over five hours and was full of nonstop laughter — we knew something was different. What started as a swipe turned into something neither of us expected, but both of us immediately felt: a connection that was easy and real. After a few fun and memorable dates, we officially became “Nate and Jo” on St. Patrick’s Day—a date we’ll always remember! At the time, Jo was still in school, so we made the most of our weekends traveling to see each other, proving that distance is no match for our love.

Since then, life together has been a beautiful mix of spontaneity, adventure, and love. In 2021, we took a trip to Seattle, and on a whim decided to expand our little family by adopting our first furry friend, Doc. In 2022, we hit another milestone when we bought our first house together! We turned this house into our home with a combination of teamwork, power tools, YouTube tutorials and many, many trips to Home Depot.

Three years later, in 2023, our family got a little bigger when we welcomed our second pup, Winnie, because apparently we enjoy the chaos! The pups are the best of friends and make us so happy.

Along the way, we’ve shared a lot of great conversations, many laughs until our stomachs hurt, countless adventures, and traveling to cities, states, and even other countries. One of the most memorable trips was our visit to Germany in September 2024. On the last day in Munich, which also happened to be Nate’s birthday, he proposed!From there, we celebrated our engagement in Paris—a dream come true to kick off this new chapter of our lives and the promise to forever!

From traveling across the world, to staying in and binging our favorite shows, from playing trivia at the local bar to just making each other laugh, it’s been the little moments that have made our life together so meaningful.

Our relationship is strong, loving, and a whole lot of fun — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Now, we’re so excited to continue building our story together as husband and wife, surrounded by the people we love most.
