In November 2023, Adora traveled to meet up with friends at a conference being held at Nathaniel's church. The last night of the conference, Nathaniel and Adora met by happenstance. A bonfire with friends ended with Nathaniel asking for Adora's number. In February 2024, they started dating. On November 28, 2024 Nathaniel proposed to Adora at the Gate's Pass Overlook near Tucson, AZ.
