For our guests traveling to Houston from out of town, here are just a few of our favorite things to do in the area!
Grab a friend and take a stroll along the paved trails at Eleanor Tinsley Park! We have spent numerous hours here lying in the grass, riding bikes, running, and enjoying the downtown Houston skyline. Some of our earliest memories were made here at Eleanor Tinsley. The park has 5.6 miles of paved trails that loop around Buffalo Bayou, and there's plenty of parking along the edge of the walking path. Parking is usually $1-3 before 7PM, but the park itself is completely free! Bike rentals are available at Bayou Bike Rentals nearby!
POST HTX is a popular food hall near downtown Houston! Located in a renovated warehouse with amazing views of the city from its rooftop sky lawn, POST has an eclectic selection of foods from around the world. From West African cuisine at Chopnblok to Chinese at Loy Loy Dim Sum to southern specialities at Lea Jane's Hot Chicken, POST HTX pretty much has it all! Our favorite thing to get there is the Quesabirria Combo from Taco Fuego. This building also occupies a concert hall, so keep that in mind when finding parking.
If you find yourself on the west side of Houston, feel free to stop by The Original Lupe Tortilla at 318 Stafford St, Houston, TX 77079! We LOVE Tex-Mex, and this restaurant is by far our favorite because of its unique character and flavorful fajitas! If you can't make it to the west side, we recommend The Original Ninfas on Navigation near downtown!
