It all started in August 2016, when Marco (our friend from college) gave Kenny my number and Kenny decided to blow up my phone. I’m talking over 25 calls and more than 20 text messages, all begging for help with his homework. He even said if he dropped out of school, it would be my fault!

Mind you, I was in the shower and had no idea who this man even was. I come back to my room, see my phone going crazy, and immediately curse him out; like, who are you???

The next day, Marco walks up to me like, “This is my homeboy Ken.” I look at Kenny, roll my eyes, and curse him out again. I think he liked it though, because he called me that night and we haven’t stopped talking since.
