When Matt came home for the summer after his freshman year that's when it all started. Nayeli and Matt started hanging out a lot then. Matt knew he had feeling for Nayeli but was unsure if long distance relationship was even possible. At the end of the summer they had a serious talk outside the wicked pizza in canyon lake about their future. Both were unsure about how to go on with this difficult decision. Nayeli will claim that Matt cried but Matt denies that. But that night Matt asked Nayeli a question, it was "will you be my girlfriend? if the answer is yes, give me a kiss." After .01 seconds Matt got a kiss. That was just the beginning of something amazing that Matt and Nayeli had always hoped for. They both went off to school 7 hours away from each other but knew their love for one another was always going to prevail. It was difficult but they always knew they could do it, because they had found their other half. After 3 long years of long distance Matt was finally able to move back to New Braunfels where he could be with the love of his life. Then it came. Time to propose. In the week leading up Nayeli started noticing signs that something might be up but was not sure. The first sign was Shannon paying for Nayeli to get her nails done. Then it was Matt insisting we go on a date on the next Sunday. The day comes and Nayeli still has a little suspicion but she put all the pieces together when Matt wore slacks to church. Then after lunch Matt and Nayeli had to meet the photographer at 2 at the Canyon Lake Dam, the only problem was it was only 1 so Matt had to kill time. The final sign Nayeli caught onto was Matt filling up his gas tank with 170 miles left. Once they had finally got to the dam and walked down the path Matt got down on one knee and asked his best friend to share all of life's journey with him and Nayeli excitedly yelled "YES! FINALLY".

P.S. Again Nayeli will claim Matt cried but he is denying anything of those sorts.
