Neffy and Eddie first crossed paths at the live taping of her YouTube web series, The Path Less Traveled, where she interviewed their now pastor, Vernel Samuel. The moment Neffy spotted Eddie in the audience is the moment he piqued her interest. Their feelings were mutual but unspoken. Eddie pegged Neffy as the type of career driven woman who wanted love but never made time for it.

Eddie & Neffy started dating shortly after a mutual friend tipped him off that Neffy was interested. 1 month into dating Eddie told Neffy he was going to marry her and was prepared to do it the moment he said it. Eddie was ready, Neffy was not … but he never stopped asking.

After preaching Resurrection Sunday service at Hungry 4 God Church, guest pastor and South African prophet, Nathan Marillier prophesied that Neffy was Eddie's wife. This was the first of many prophecies the young couple received throughout their relationship about God’s plan for their union. Naturally, Neffy asked a million follow up questions and Eddie relaxed into the confirmation of everything he already knew.

Neffy and Eddie took their love overseas on their first official vacation together -- traveling to Jamaica, Mexico, and the Cayman Islands. On their trip they went snorkeling, kayaking, jet skiing and so much more, making memories at each stop.

Eddie proposed to Neffy the day after Christmas in Prospect Park complete with: a 4 part speech, candlelit bridge, gold letter balloons that spelt “I LOVE YOU”, and rose petals on the floor. The path to the big reveal was filled with multiple checkpoints where Neffy was greeted by a loved one and given roses and blessings for their relationship.
