Hike!
There are so many places to hike in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, from short and flat to long and steep! We suggest:
Echo Lake (pictured) - flat, gentle trail with a stunning view of Mt. Blue Sky
Elk Meadow Park - plenty of trails in the 3-5 mile range
St. Mary’s Glacier - 1.6 mile moderate out & back hike to an alpine lake near Idaho Springs
Three Sisters - for something a bit more off the beaten path
White Ranch Park - located in Golden, these are incredible mountain bike and hiking trails

Argo Gold Mill and Tunnel Tour
This was one of the coolest tours we have ever done! Learn more about the history of gold mining in Idaho Springs.
Clear Creek White Water Park
If you have some time, this is the perfect time of year to tube the creek! There are tube rentals in Golden.
Evergreen Duck Derby
On August 2nd, watch thousands of rubber duckies cascade down Bear Creek from the starting line in the heart of Evergreen. We’ve never done this, but apparently it’s a BIG deal!
Colorado Rockies Game
The Rockies have a home series against the Pirates August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, just don't miss the wedding!
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
Check out if they will have concerts, yoga on the rocks, or just go walk around. This is by far the BEST amphitheater in the world (biased and limited research)
