Dr. Amanda Goetz
Dr. Amanda Goetz - Best Woman
I met Amanda in college during our photography classes. We share a love of photography, art and the entrepreneurial spirit. Amanda is one of the kindest, most genuine and perpetually happy people I know. Without a doubt, I'm humbled to have her as my Best Woman. She's my secret keeper and my go to for anything creative. Check out her boutique- The Freckled Fox on Facebook!
Dr. Elise Hernandez
Dr. Elise Hernandez - Maid of Honor
Elise was supposed to be the little brother I always wanted. But she ended up being a pretty damn good little sister. She has the biggest heart which pours through as she cares for her patients at her practice in Arlington. It has been a blessing to have her as a roommate, to both Newley and Me for the past few years along with her little pup, Presley. She recently celebrated her 30th birthday (you can tell because of the wrinkles around her eyes). Maria, you are my best friend and I love you more than you'll ever know. PEEEEEEEE
Dr. Jordan Shapiro
Dr. Jordan Shapiro - Wedding Officiant / TagPro God
Jordan has been the little brother I have always wanted. Despite our age difference, he loves the same music, the same games, really the same everything. I have never met someone who is more like me then Jordan. I met Jordan when I was 16 and he was 12. I was his camp counselor at an after school program. Since then he has grown to be not only my best friend but a friend of my whole family. I had the honor of being the Best Man at his recent wedding in September to his beautiful wife, Nikki. He always has a smile on his face and is ready to make you laugh. Jordan plans to move to Dallas after he graduates as an Oral Surgeon so our kids will grown up together. Thanks for being by my side all these years. I am honored to have you officiate my wedding.
Nellie Soring
Nellie Soring - Groomsmaid
I met Nellie at our college rodeo team meeting in the fall of 2009. We have traveled countless miles via pickup and trailer to college rodeos together. Always happy, smiling and ready for a laugh, Nellie has been a constant positive in my life and has a knack for making me giggle at the most inappropriate time.
Cole Scofield
Cole Scofield - Groomsmaid
I was working as a Resident Assistant in our hall, recognized Cole from the hall meeting the night before and sat down next to her on our first day in design class. Needless to say, we became best friends instantaneously. Her family has become my second family and I can't thank them enough. My favorite thing about Cole besides her incredible artistic talent? Her laugh. Its infectious. Tell her a joke, I dare you ;)
Dr. Isaac Hernandez
Dr. Isaac Hernandez - Best Man
Isaac has been by my side my whole life. He is my brother and best friend. Although he used to always be Mario and never let me have a turn at Nintendo, he has grown to be one of the generous and thoughtful people I know. He humbled out in college once he realized I was better at him at Mario Party. Although we still play video and boardgames, we now run obstacle races through out the U.S. We have completed Warrior Dash, Spartan, and soon the Savage. Isaac, although you may not be able to hit the Javelin throw like I can, you are the best partner I can ask for. In races and in life. I love you bro. Waaahooo
Dr. Garrett Pataky
Dr. Garrett Pataky - Man of Honor
Garrett AKA "Lil G" was my first little brother in Tau Kappa Epsilon. We grew close bumping heads over politics and life. He is one of the smartest people I know eventually becoming a Professor in Engineering at a University in South Carolina. So smart, he married his beautiful wife Emily, who knock some sense into him as far as his political views. Garrett has challenged me more than anyone I know. Despite being my little, I take is advice to heart. I love him like a brother and couldn't ask for a better best friend to stand next to me on my wedding day. B I G for life!
Sammy Walker
Sammy Walker - Groomsmaid
Sammy is my oldest sister and has been a constant role model in my life. I didn't know she was one of my best friends, until I was about 22 and I was always calling her and asking for advice. She has this incredible way about her that I've always admired- she's tough, gritty, fearless and the next moment she's tender, nurturing and caring. She's raised two incredible boys and I can't say enough about her fearless spirit. Love you, Sam!
Luke Kartak - Groomsman
Luke is my older brother and growing up, we were oil and water. We fought constantly and never seemed to get along. Now that we are adults, I am proud to have him as my brother. When I came out, Luke was the first to tell me that if anyone had anything to say they could talk to him. Besides being hilarious and quick with sarcasm, he is one of the kindest and most thoughtful guys you'll meet. If you ever want to go hunting or fishing, he's your guy!
Robert Hollings jr
Robert Hollings jr - Man of Honor
R.O.B. and I met when we were 16 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Coral Springs. After asking him to join our crew, Robbie became the lead producer of the 954 boys, eventually helping promote our records at Universal studios. Since then, Rob moved to Virginia to work for the U.S. government where he met Katie. Since then, they have grown a beautiful family of five. Despite never getting over my young business endeavors of "keeping the change" or sharing his quarter so I could get some cream cheese, Rob is my child hood best friend that I was honored to be the Best man at his wedding. I love you bro.
Juan Cardenas
Juan Cardenas - Man of Honor
I met Juan through my brother when I was only 12 years old. He has grown into a family friend, whom will do his best to embarrass you or make you laugh at ALL times. He is currently married to his beautiful wife, Stephanie. His biggest life accomplishments include no longer wearing a Looney Toons wardrobe (TAZ shirt), learning the true meaning of a "Baby sip" (although he is still a big baby), and manscaping? I love you bro and proud to have you standing next to me on my big day!
Ben Kartak - Groomsman
Ben is my little brother. He was my first team roping partner. Growing up, we gave our parents a lot of gray hairs from the hell we raised running around on our ponies. Along with my brother Luke, we played sports together growing up. Among the many memories of basketball games, football games, trackmeets and rodeos there are two distinct memories that stand out. One is the relay baton hand off with Ben and team roping with him in college rodeo.
Hunter Van horn
Hunter Van horn - Man of Honor
Hunter and I met in our Fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon. We became friends rather quickly, chatting about his world travels and him living outside the U.S. He is currently living in Chicago and despite the distance, we have remained close friends. Despite his ability to grow past the skinny guy I met many years ago, we have grown a stronger friendship through deep intellectual conversation."Ever since you started working out..."
Becca Kartak
Becca Kartak - Groomsmaid
Becca is my little sister and the baby of our family. She has always had this rough and tumble attitude towards life which made her an excellent athlete. She was a lot of fun to cheer on in sports! When she was old enough, she tagged along on her pony with Ben and I. Some of my fondest memories of Becca include rodeo and horses. Ask her to show you a rope trick!
Dr. Elliot Merin
Dr. Elliot Merin - Man of Honor
Elliot AKA "LL" is my little bro in my fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon. When I met him, he was a shy young guy waiting to come out of his shell. Within a year, he was the proud cofounder of "SWOLE TEKE", a very popular workout group we founded in college. Elliot and I have since shared many experiences, including trips to Vegas, many cruises, many New Years with my family and an amazing ski trip with his family. He is the best friend anyone can ask for. He is about to graduate as a M.D. and move to Dallas. SWOLLLEEEEEE
