We met through mutual friends in college and had hung out a few times before this night. Peter finally asked me out on a date and we went to Chili’s, mind you Bartlesville is very small with limited options. Little did I know Peter had planned to ask me to be his girlfriend, but he was nervous and ended up waiting till the next day to ask.

We took a trip to South Padre Island for spring break and thought nothing could possibly go wrong. Of course, everything gets shut down due to Covid while we’re there. The few days that we were able to enjoy were one to remember! At the time I was living in Delaware and he lived in Houston, so we were unsure when we could see each other again.

This was our first day back at OKWU and first time seeing each other. My thoughts were “if we can go 5 months without seeing each other we can get through anything”. Now look at us!

This was Peter’s first time visiting me in Delaware that summer. We took a day trip to New York and did a ton of walking.
