Our wedding is taking place at Gilmerton House, which is a fifteen minute drive from North Berwick in East Lothian.

If you are coming from outside of Edinburgh, we would recommend you stay in North Berwick. It is a lovely seaside town with lots of great and varied accommodation options. We will be arranging coaches from North Berwick to bring you to and from Gilmerton House on the day.

North Berwick is a thirty five minute direct train journey from Edinburgh Waverley Station, or a pretty straight forward forty five minute drive. North Berwick is not a big town - pretty much everything is within a 15 minute walk from the centre of town (including the railway station).

If you are staying in Edinburgh, Gilmerton House is a forty minute drive from the centre of town. Taxis from town are also an option, though if you intend to get a taxi home at the end of the evening, we definitely recommend booking this in advance.

Arriving in Edinburgh

If you are travelling to Edinburgh by train, we recommend making your way to Edinburgh Waverley Station. There are hourly direct trains to North Berwick. North Berwick is the terminus, so you can't miss it!

If you are travelling to Edinburgh by air, there are great transport links from the airport into the centre of town. If you want to opt for the bus, take the Airlink 100 and get off at Princes Street. Otherwise, you can take the tram and get off this at Princes Street too. From there, it's a very short walk to Waverley Station at the end of Princes Street, and a lovely train journey from there out to North Berwick.
