Josie’s Version: When I met Nick, I instantly knew he was the one. Oddly enough, Nick and I met when I became an intern at the Forensic Mental Health Program in St. Peter, MN. Nick just so happened to be a newly hired Security Counselor who was in the same training as me. Throughout the job orientation my other intern friends and I would make fun of Nick for driving a Blue Chrysler Town and Country. Little did I know months down the road, I would be riding in that vehicle, as we became inseparable after we started dating. Nick and I have made the most of the last three years by traveling together, raising our golden retriever, playing pickleball with family, and continuing to fall more and more for one another. When Nick and I met, I was living with my now bridesmaids: Jana, Tasha, and Trisha. Nick wasn’t only dating me, but he was also becoming close friends with my family. One of my favorite memories with Nick is that a little after two months together we went to Arizona. I remember telling my mom that I knew I was falling in love, but it was so crazy to go on trip with him this early. We then had one of our best vacations spending time with one another. Nick ended up meeting my grandma Mary Jane and when I was leaving her home, she said “Josie he is a good one.” That resonated with me. Nick is the most passionate, determined, sweet, stubborn, and respectful guy I know. Nick has a heart of gold and I know that he will continue to cherish our love. Each day is a new adventure with him and I am excited to see what the future holds for us. This is just the short version of the many stories I could tell. I could not be happier to spend the rest of my life with him.
Nicholas’s Version: Josie and I met at the state hospital during our training. We happened to be in the same place for some time and didn’t know each other. Crazy to think we are here now! I remember seeing Josie from across the room…fast forward…now we are getting married! Some time had passed, and after the training, we rekindled our friendship and started our relationship. Fun fact, we never had a date where we started “dating.” I just knew it was her. From then on, I continued to fall more in love with Josie. Josie and I have made many memories together. We have gone on many trips and continue to always be in each other’s presence. In Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 10, 2024, I made the commitment to Josie that I will be hers forever. I truly do love her. Josie is thoughtful, beautiful, kind, and silly. I love everything about her. I cannot wait to create such an amazing life with her.
