The first time I met Nick, was in 2012, at my brother’s soccer game. He was the goal keeper for Dawson’s team. From there on, Nick became intertwined in my life. We attended the same high school and the same school program AVID. We shared mutual friends and spoke all the time. My grandma, Danette, and Nicholas’s mother, Tracy, were and still are great friends.

My junior year we both attended the same EF Tours trip that took us to Italy, France, and Spain. I remember feeling how magnetic he was. He gave off positive energy, always happy and optimistic. He constantly made me laugh.

Time went on post high school, and eventually we reconnected as adults in 2016. We clicked stronger than ever before. Over a short amount of time, we built a strong foundation of trust, good communication, and respect.

Nick quickly became my person… my best friend.

From there our love story blossomed.

The count down began on New Year’s Eve 2016. Midnight changed the course of my life forever. If I could go back to that moment.. I would choose Mikayla every time. The thing I love most about her, is her radiant smile that can brighten anyone’s day. Her contagious smile is my motivation to love, cherish, and provide for our little family. It was our trip to Puerto Rico, where I fell in love with Mikayla. I knew she was the one I wanted to marry and I could see myself spending the rest of my life with her.
