In July of 2022, Keira Morton and Nicholas Goerner took off to attend the RP Youth Conference, TFY (Theological Foundations for Youth), looking forward to three weeks full of learning. Ironically enough, the two had met before this occasion, their parents being family friends, but were not aware of their close age and were somewhat shocked to learn they would be at TFY together. Right from the start of the conference, they hit it off, finding a shared love for spikeball and the Lord. When the conference split off into groups, Nicholas and Keira ended up together once again, with a chance to get to know each other even better. They left TFY being very good friends, and remained in contact until December when they officially began dating. God was faithful in allowing them to overcome the challenges of living in different states. In November of 2023, Nicholas picked up Keira from the Orlando airport, very late at night. After claiming that a friend needed help jump-starting their car, Nicholas drove Keira to a dock overlooking the water filled with her favorite flowers, and proposed. They are so grateful for the support from friends and family in their journey together and for the Lord’s faithfulness in bringing their two lives together.
