Things to Do

Arizona Sonora Desert Museum

The Desert Museum is a wonderful way to see the beauty of Arizona. This is one of Mari’s favorite places to take people visiting Tucson (she takes her niece Misa every time she comes to visit). This is an outdoor museum with animal exhibits, lots of desert views, and cool interactive exhibits. We highly recommend the prickly pear lemonade!

The University Of Arizona And Main Gate Square

The University of Arizona | Tucson, Arizona 85721
Mari chose to go to the University of Arizona because she fell in love with the weather and the beautiful campus. If you’re interested in seeing the campus, you can also walk down to Main Gate Square or what the students just call University Blvd. Rob Gronkowski makes occasional appearances at Gentles Bens, you can try Illegal Pete’s for a prickly pear margarita, or Frog & Firkin for chill vibes and occasional live music!

Pima Air And Space Museum

For those aviation nerds, the Pima Air and Space Museum is one of the world’s largest aircraft collections. Mari’s grandpa loved planes, and now Mari gets to work with planes and pilots for work! They also have a cockpit “flight simulator” if you’ve always secretly wanted to be a pilot.

Arizona National Golf Course

Nick moved to Arizona for the year-round golf. Arizona National is one of Nick’s favorite golf courses. The views are beautiful and it is the perfect place to enjoy Arizona’s mild January weather.

Downtown Tucson - Congress

If you are looking to experience the Tucson nightlife, Congress Street is a good place to go! When Nick first moved to Tucson, Congress Street was his nightlife scene! With bars including HiFi, The Funky Monk, Hotel Congress, and Playground, there is something for everyone!

4th Avenue

While Mari was in college, 4th Avenue was her favorite spot, and still is! If you are looking for a more chill vibe for nightlife, 4th Avenue is a good place for you! There are lots of food options and also a few bars! Mari’s favorite, The Boxyard, is an outdoor bar with multiple food “truck” options in the shipping containers that make up its location. The Hut is a tiki themed bar with karaoke and lawn games. Bawker Bawker Cider House boasts a list of ciders on tap.

Gate's Pass

For beautiful views of Tucson, you can go to Gates Pass at sunset to see the gorgeous cotton candy sunsets of Tucson.

Tucson Premium Outlets

If shopping is more of a priority than cactus views, Tucson fortunately has a huge outlet! We enjoy walking the dogs down the hill from our home to the outlets when the weather is nice to grab Starbucks. When we don’t have the dogs, we love taking a stroll through the Nike and Adidas outlets!

Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Farm

While Mari is terrified of ostriches, we have heard nothing but good things about Rooster Cogburn. If you are willing to travel a bit north, you can interact with ostriches, sting rays, feed goats, and more!
