We had been going to the same Church small group for about 2 years and had always gotten along sharing jokes and facial expressions from across the room.
Something clicked in both our heads around the same time in early 2023 as we talked more and became closer friends. By March Nick asked to out go on a lunch date after a surprise birthday party that had been thrown for Dyllan (Who is now a groomsman!)
and we went out on a pizza date that Sunday afternoon… Leading to more dates, adventures, grocery shopping trips, hanging out with each others families!
Not only were we becoming romantic partners but we were also becoming the best of friends. :)

We knew after a short time together that we had found the person we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with.

After 1.5 years of dating on a beautiful October day, we took a ride on Nicks DR650 to the Troutdale Airport to watch the sunset. As we were getting our things packed up he pulled the pocket of my sweatshirt from behind and was getting down on one knee as I turned around.
I then was handed a Taco Bell hot sauce packet that said “Marry Me!” That I had handed him a year earlier and joked that if he didn’t propose to me with one of those, I would say “No!” (He had kept it all this time).
While I tried not to pass out as he delivered a very sweet speech asking me to be his wife, I of course said YES! And well.. here we are! ;)
