Ker is Mai's oldest sister and has played the role of Mai's second mom since she was young. Today, Ker has become a confidant, trusted peer, and is still Mai's second mom.

Xai is Mai's second oldest sister and taught Mai how to make green beans with pork (now Nick's favorite Hmong dish). Xai is the Vue Family's personal papaya lady and you can always count on her to bring the pepper.

Pam is Mai's first cousin and life-long friend. Pam has also filled the role of therapist for Mai and is always down to grab oysters (Mai's fav food).

Jordan and Nick have been best friends since middle school and has helped Nick move to 2 different states. Jordan is like a brother to Nick.

Landon is Mai's beloved nephew and is (now going to be) Nick's life-time friend. Landon continues to be a valuable friend to the couple and Nick is happy to have found another brother.

Randy is Pam's (Mai's cousin) husband and has been a friend to Nick for the last 10 years. Nick still remembers when Randy and Pam drove over an hour to help Nick move his fish tank.
