Please dress in Wedding Attire. Gowns and Tux are welcomed. No jeans, khakis, or hats. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors. Please dress accordingly.
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
We would love to celebrate with absolutely everyone; however, we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
ARE CHILDREN INVITED?
We love your little ones, we really do! However, due to many factors and space availability, we have decided to have our wedding and reception as adult-only aside from our nieces and nephews, as specified on your RSVP. We encourage you to use this evening as a “date night” for yourselves! We appreciate your understanding and hope you will be able to celebrate with us!
WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?
We have included a near-by hotel option, TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Dublin for our guests. It is located right off 33 in inner Dublin, very accessible and an easy 10 mile commute to our venue. We will have transportation arranged to pick up our guests for the ceremony as well as drop off at the end of the evening. Please be sure to include you are with the Bertke/VanMalderen Wedding when you make your reservation for the group discounted rate.
WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION?
Yes! We have arranged round transportation from the hotel to the ceremony and reception.

3:15 PM: Hotel to Retreat 21 TapHouse,
3:50 PM: Hotel to Retreat 21,
4:15 PM: Retreat 21 TapHouse to Retreat 21,
9:00 PM: Retreat 21 to Hotel,
10:00 PM: Retreat 21 to Hotel,
11:00 PM: Retreat 21 to Hotel,
11:20 PM: Last pick up from Retreat 21 to Hotel.
There are also available transportation apps such as Uber or Lyft available in the area of Columbus at your own expense, to ensure safe transportation.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
There are plenty of free parking spaces provided at the venue. You may leave your car overnight as we want you to be able to enjoy your night and stay safe. All cars left, must be picked up by 10am the next morning from the venue, Retreat 21. We will provide our guests with bus transportation to and from the hotel, TownePlace Suites by Marriott Columbus Dublin for both the ceremony and reception.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CANNOT MAKE IT?
You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “not attending” so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
