Many of those closest to us know how seriously we take community health and the values that we live by in order to best protect our loved ones. While we respect everyone's right to choose how they approach COVID precautions in their own lives, we are asking that all of our guests follow a higher standard for the weeks leading up to our wedding day.
We understand that this is not a conventional ask in 2025 - but the truth is that COVID and other airborne illnesses are still very much a deadly risk, especially to those living with disability or chronic illness. In order to truly enjoy this day to the fullest, we need to know that we've done everything possible to protect our immunocompromised guests.
We ask that you:
- Mask for 2 weeks in public spaces (grocery stores/offices/while traveling/etc). If you are unable or unwilling to mask prior to the ceremony, please let us know. If this is the case, please plan to stay masked during the entire celebration.
- Limit time spent in crowded areas where it's not possible to mask. As a family, we don't go out to eat unless there is a patio to eat outside. Alternatively, please consider ordering in for the 2 weeks prior to the party.
- Take one rapid COVID test 2 days before the wedding. Please upload rapid test results to the Google form linked below.
- If traveling from out of state, please take your rapid test 2 days before traveling to NY. Upload a picture of the results to the Google form linked below.
We will also be using a PCR machine to test guests one final time before the wedding. Though it also only requires a nose swab, it is significantly more accurate than a rapid test.
- Friends arriving anytime before 9/13 will be given a PCR test the day of their arrival.
- We will test family and friends arriving on the wedding day at 2PM, before the ceremony begins.
- Please bring an N95 mask and wear it while your PCR test is processing (if you forget a mask, we will provide one).
Again, we know that this may seem daunting to some of our family and friends. If you have any questions, or if you need any suggestions on how to mask comfortably and effectively, please feel free to contact the love birds directly.
We truly cannot say how much we appreciate all of you working so hard to ensure we have the wedding of our dreams while protecting our loved ones. 💕
