The Love Story

Picture of The Love Story
Quinn is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and Nichole is from Lambertville, Michigan (a small town just over the Ohio Michigan border near toledo). The two met in Toledo, Ohio while attending college at the University of Toledo. The day they met neither of them were looking to find a life partner. They weren’t even looking to make a new friend. Nichole was with her sorority sisters of Alpha Xi Delta and Quinn was with his fraternity brothers of Pi Kappa Phi. The sorority and fraternity were volunteering at a Halloween party for a local disability center on October 23, 2017. Quinn wore a grumpy care-bear onesie and Nichole was dressed as Mini Mouse. Following the volunteer event the sorority and fraternity had a get together with just the members of each group. Quinn and Nichole barely knew each other but shortly grew a friendship following that night. The following day Nichole assisted in planning a philanthropic event for her sorority and was overly worried the event would not raise a lot of money. Quinn and some of his friends showed up for the event. The friendship bloomed shortly after. Quinn and Nichole hung out with their friends together at other Greek life events and college fun as the two got to know each other even more. Nichole even invited Quinn to her birthday dinner in April of 2018, after only being friends for a few months. Since the day they met, the two were in constant contact and hung out together often. During the summer of 2018 Quinn lived in Grand Rapids while Nichole lived in Toledo, but the two would talk often. When Quinn would visit Toledo, the two spent time together… as friends. Their first date, that Nichole didn’t realize was a date, was at a local Toledo Mexican restaurant that the college students often frequented. Once Quinn officially moved to Toledo for the start of the 2018 school year, Nichole and Quinn spent time at Quinn’s place with his room mates almost daily. The two became very close and it was noticeable to everyone. The two often heard from others, “are you two dating yet?” On September 21, 2018 Quinn’s fraternity and Nichole’s sorority once again had a get together for just the members of their groups. On this night they finally KISSED and officially began their relationship. Nichole met Quinn’s mother the very next morning at a parents tailgate. To which, his mother has mentioned “he was looking at you the whole time” during the tailgate. Quinn and Nichole officially started going steady on December 5, 2018. The two lived in Toledo, Ohio until they moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan in late July of 2021 and were engaged one year later. The two have truly been inseparable ever since they met. They’ve grown together, lived life together, and loved each other endlessly. 11 months of friendship, 4 years of love, and lifetime of marriage to go!

All About the Bride

Picture of All About the Bride
The bride is Nichole A Jeffries. She was born and raised in the small town of Lambertville, Michigan right on the boarder of Michigan and Ohio. She grew up with two older brothers who are 6+ years older than her. She spent most of her childhood running around her neighborhood with all of the kids. From riding bikes and go karts, swimming in the neighbors pools, playing hide and seek and cops and robbers, to playing video games like Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Donkey Kong, and Super Mario Brothers. In middle school and high school she was a cheerleader for football season and competitive season. When she wasn’t busy with cheerleading she was hanging out with her friends at local gatherings, boating, fishing, and tubing with her family on Lake Erie, attending youth group, and attending different high school sporting events. Nichole began her college experience at Owens Community College where she went into radiology. She attended the community college for one semester before she transferred to Bowling Green State University for nursing. During her time attending BGSU she joined a co Ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, where she volunteered her time to help clean up the streets of Bowling Green and the community campus. She lived on campus at BGSU for one year before she had a lot of unknown medical issues arise. With these medical issues and the multitude of doctor appointments that came there after she ultimately made the decision to transfer to the University of Toledo and switched her major to early childhood education. Lucky for her this was the best decision she could have made. During her time at the University of Toledo she joined the sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, continued with her membership with Alpha Phi Omega, and joined a mentorship program where she mentored incoming freshmen. She spent her time volunteering her time to the Toledo community, raising money for the Ronald McDonald House, and planning events for her sorority to raise money and awareness for Autism Speaks. When she wasn’t busy volunteering you could find her working at local restaurants until she found her calling at the Boys & Girls Club of Toledo. She fell in love with the children of the club and switched her major to social work. She graduated in May of 2020 with no graduation ceremony. She jumped right in to a masters degree program for social work at Spring Arbor University. During her year long masters degree program she interned as a therapist at a local community mental health agency and worked within the same company as a support staff where she scheduled client appointments, assisted doctors, and answered phone calls. She graduated in July of 2021. The couple moved from Toledo, Ohio to Grand Rapids, Michigan shortly after. Now you can find Nichole working as a therapist at a local high school. She enjoys her monthly meet ups with her friends at local bars, getting her nails done, eating at new restaurants, exploring her new city, going to thrift shops, consignment stores, and antique malls, and spending time on her future family’s pontoon boat.

Get to Know the Couple

Picture of Get to Know the Couple
Since the two first met, they have been inseparable. Quinn lived with his closest fraternity brothers in a townhouse near campus. Nichole lived with some friends at a near by house. On any given day you could find Nichole at the townhouse hanging out with Quinn and the boys. The two of them spent most of their time at the townhouse, going out to bars with friends, attending fraternity parties, and going out to eat. Nichole quickly became friends with Quinn’s friends and enjoyed their company often. The townhouse boys eventually all moved out at the end of the school year. Quinn and Nichole moved in with a fraternity brother of Quinn’s and his girlfriend (say hey to the brunette bridesmaid!). The four of them lived together for roughly a year with two cats who were their whole worlds. Quinn built a special bond with their room mates cat, Felix. He was always so excited to see Quinn and Quinn’s heart opened up to him so quickly. After one year of living with their room mates Quinn and Nichole moved into their own apartment together where they lived through the COVID-19 quarantine together. Here you could find them studying for school together, cooking together, and truly enjoying each other’s company. Once they both graduated college, they packed their bags and moved to Quinn’s home town, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Here they lived with Quinn’s parents as they found jobs and saved up money to move out. The two shortly moved to their first place in their new city. Now you can find the couple continuing to cook together, spending time binge watching comedy shows, snuggling on the couch, having date nights, trying new restaurants, and finding new and exciting things to do in their new city. The couple would describe their relationship as “easy and relaxed”. They hope for their wedding to feel just like their relationship.
