Built by the Von Trapp family who were the inspiration for the musical and movie "The Sound of Music" . A gorgeous lodge with beautiful views, gorgeous grounds, brewery (see below) and bakery.
*This is in BURLINGTON, VT (not Stowe) but is an absolute must if you are flying in/out of Burlington International Airport (BTV). It has great restaurants right on Lake Champlain (the Spot on the Dock and Splash at the Boathouse) to enjoy a casual meal or drink. Not to mention, the waterfront has the most beautiful sunsets!
