Nick and Katie went to Park High School together. They graduated one year apart. Years ago Katie and Nick talked, but nothing happened and they both went their separate ways. Then one day, Nick was working and came into Children's Hospital Emergency Room with a patient where Katie was working as an Emergency Room nurse. They saw each other, but didn't say anything. That night, Katie was at home with her dog Maui, after a long day at work, and messaged Nick on Instagram, or as Nick says when people ask how we met he says, "Katie slid into my DM's." From there, the rest is history!
