Our Wedding

Camilla and I met our Sophomore year at TCU.&nbsp; After several months of trying to get her to go on a date with me, she finally agreed on a group dinner to the BLUU (the school's cafeteria).&nbsp; We went to her sorority's formal later that semester, which also happened to be the same weekend my parents&nbsp;visited.&nbsp; Needless to say, I was nervous that on the first date with her I would also be introducing her to my parents.&nbsp; However, for those of you who know the story of Jason and Nadine, you know that this exact same thing happened to them.&nbsp; Guess my parents are good luck!&nbsp;

That summer&nbsp; I studied abroad in Sevilla and we kept in touch and really began to build our relationship while apart.&nbsp; I think I first really knew she was going to be a major person in my life while on a train from Barcelona to Bilbao - all I wanted to do during that train ride was talk with her.&nbsp; When I told her I was going to run with the bulls in Pamplona, she told me she would kill me if I got hurt or died - again the love really started while I was in Spain. &nbsp;





Fast forward one year and we began our first of many times doing distance.&nbsp; She wrote me every day as I went through my second and final portion of Officer Candidate School.&nbsp; After another semester at school and a few months' wait, I left for The Basic School in Quantico, VA.&nbsp; She was my rock through the emotional roller coaster of getting injured during training and came to visit me almost once a month.&nbsp; After over two consecutive years living in different states, we were happy to close the distance between us and be in the same city again.&nbsp; While I was deployed we talked almost every day.&nbsp; Knowing each other for five years and spending over half that time apart, we are both ready to tackle our life goals together and as a team.&nbsp;





I am her number one supporter and she is mine.&nbsp; I don't think we could be more open with each other and I can't wait to see how our love continues to grow.&nbsp; She brings out the best in me and is truly my better half.&nbsp; I'm so fortunate to be marrying my beautiful best friend and I can't wait to see her walking down the aisle to me.&nbsp;

From Nick's Perspective

Nick and I were introduced&nbsp;during the fall of our Sophomore year at TCU by my college roommate, Jessica Fellow. Jessica and Nick grew up together&nbsp;and went to the same schools--all the way from pre-school through TCU! As that school year progressed, Nick and I&nbsp;began seeing each other more&nbsp;on campus and at parties as well. We formed a platonic friendship throughout that year as we got to know one another - or so I thought. I brought him as my date to my sorority's formal&nbsp;during the spring of Sophomore year, and at that time, I considered us just friends.&nbsp;However,&nbsp;we definitely&nbsp;had more in store for us in the future.

During the summer before our Junior year of&nbsp;college, Nick and I found ways to communicate to one another, despite the fact that he was studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain and I was living and working in Fort Worth, Texas. It started with a simple group message that he included me on, stating he would enjoy hearing from any of his friends on the thread, as life in Spain is vastly different than in America. I was interested in catching up with him since it had been a few weeks, so I offered to Skype him when he was free. Thirty-minute conversations about how things were going&nbsp;in Spain and in America quickly turned into three-hour conversations about anything and everything we could talk about. We found ourselves really connecting, and got to know each other on a deeper level that summer. I remember looking forward to a text, email or Skype session request&nbsp;from&nbsp;Nick every day. I&nbsp;also&nbsp;remember how funny it was that we ironically&nbsp;grew so close to each other while we were on two sides of the world. Needless to say, we both knew there was a special spark between us when he returned at the end of that summer.&nbsp;



We began dating shortly after,&nbsp;and have been inseparable (either literally or via&nbsp;communication devices) ever since. We spent our last two years of college together, helping one another study for tests, laughing together,&nbsp;going on adventures&nbsp;together,&nbsp;spending time in San Diego together over&nbsp;our&nbsp;winter breaks, and so on and so forth. I will always remember my last two years of college as the best college years I ever spent.&nbsp;





Over time, we began our careers in separate states, visiting each other once a month or so, and worked tirelessly toward building our life together. We have&nbsp;experienced&nbsp;career changes,&nbsp;triumphs, and tribulations together. Having worked in the Defense industry throughout my career,&nbsp;Nick has always been my chief source of motivation to do my best at work. Recently, we have been fortunate enough to finally be in the same city so that we can continue growing in our love together. It has been a wild ride over the last five years, from being together almost every day, to doing distance for a couple of years, to finally being in the same city. However, I&nbsp;could not imagine living this life to be with anyone else. Nick is truly my best friend and the love of my life. From the moment we began dating, he has treated me far better than I will ever deserve, and I am truly thankful that we ended up at the same college and&nbsp;were introduced to one another. I greatly&nbsp;look&nbsp;forward to marrying my best friend,&nbsp;and soon after,&nbsp;calling Nick my handsome husband.

Kevin has been my best friend since our freshman year of high school.&nbsp; We played soccer together, at least once I was able to keep up at his level.&nbsp; He continued his soccer career at the US Air Force Academy.&nbsp; Kevin and I have always stayed in touch and been able to relate on many of our experiences throughout college and our careers.&nbsp; Despite his poor choice of military branch, Kevin has excelled in his career and is currently stationed in Minot, North Dakota where he is a Missiles Officer.&nbsp; Kevin looks forward to finishing up his MBA from Arizona State and moving closer to Camilla and I - or at least some place warmer.&nbsp;





Kevin Meyer

Elise is my sister, so&nbsp;we have grown up side by side from the very beginning.&nbsp;During our college years, we began to connect more closely, as she visited me at TCU and I visited her for her famous "May the Fourth" birthday, as well as her epic Ring Dunk. We have had great memories together and also continue to connect as we both work in similar industries, but in completely different states. She is a Manufacturing&nbsp;Engineer currently located&nbsp;in Indiana, and is currently&nbsp;blowing away her coworkers with her wits and personality. I could not be more proud of the thoughtful, sweet sister I&nbsp;have and how far she has come.&nbsp;Needless to say,&nbsp;I am very excited to have my sister (dubbed&nbsp;#1 MOH)&nbsp;by my side on our big day!

Elise Brown

Sunni and I have known each other since middle school, and have been best friends ever since. We played sports together, hung out during and after school together, and found ourselves in random adventures that only we could dream up.&nbsp;She was basically an addition to our family. She has always been that friend that "gets you," and if you ask me, there are very few people that have that gift.&nbsp;She is patient, understanding, relaxed, intuitive, and hilariously goofy. She is a mother of two beautiful boys and enjoys playing sports and being outdoors with them all the time. I am beyond honored to be able to have Sunni by my side during the wedding.

Wes and I met our freshman year at TCU while rushing Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.&nbsp; We've remained close friends and can always pick up where we left off.&nbsp; When Wes isn't busy talking your ear off he's probably sleeping....you've been warned!



















Wes Hoblit

Jessica is my&nbsp;college friend, sorority sister, roommate of three years, and most importantly, the reason I met Nick! None of this would have been made possible had she not introduced us. Jessica is a solid, strong, smart, and understanding person. We have great memories from college, such as sorority events, hanging out during the week and on the weekends, going to football games together, and so on.&nbsp;She is incredibly driven, as she is on track to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy within the next year.&nbsp;Jessica holds a special place in both our hearts, and I&nbsp;am perpetually grateful to her for bringing Nick and I together, and for her to be standing with me on our big day.

I met Conner through Kevin while playing soccer during our high school years.&nbsp; When asked he'll tell you that he went to a small school in the Northeast.&nbsp; What he won't tell you is that he went to Yale and was president of his fraternity and Captain of the NCAA soccer team.&nbsp; Conner now lives in New York City where he does something in finance - and is a likely contender for the lead role in Wolf of Wall Street 2.&nbsp; 

Conner Lachenbruch

I met Sasan when he transferred from Texas Tech and rushed the same fraternity as me at TCU.&nbsp; Although he is older than me, I became his big and we've been close friends ever since.&nbsp; Probably one of the most sincere individuals I know, I can always count on him for sound advice.&nbsp; He's currently living in Arlington, TX where he will be finishing up his master's degree two weeks after the wedding.&nbsp; 

Sasan Hadavand

Isabella and I have known each other since we were in diapers, basically.&nbsp;We grew up in Waco together, hanging out on and off through elementary and&nbsp;high school.&nbsp;Soon after, we&nbsp;found ourselves at&nbsp;TCU, and even&nbsp;rushed Kappa Alpha Theta together. From that point forward, Isabella and I quickly became best friends, and even roomed together during our Junior year of college. Isabella is a smart, spunky, humorous person who enjoys having a good time, no matter where she is. So much so&nbsp;that she has traveled the world both during and after college, and most recently has completed&nbsp;a Master's degree&nbsp;in Ireland.&nbsp;I am so excited to have her by my side on our&nbsp;big day!

Isabella Vick

My brother-in-law, Jason and I became close while I was stationed in Quantico, VA.&nbsp; I spent just about every weekend visiting him and Nadine in their home outside Washington D.C. for about a year.&nbsp; He and Nadine were awesome company while I struggled through a leg injury that kept me out of training for eight months.&nbsp; We've connected through picking on Nadine, playing FIFA, and watching football.&nbsp; 

Jason Hernandez

Alicia is my sister-in-law.&nbsp;She is an amazing addition to the family, and we all have enjoyed getting to know her over the last couple of years. I personally was able to get to know Alicia when I was living in Texas, and could not think of a better person for my brother to have married. Alicia is a charming,&nbsp;smart, and outgoing&nbsp;person with a huge heart and an understanding personality. She currently works hard as a Physician's Assistant in Texas.&nbsp;I am definitely looking forward to having Alicia by my side on the wedding day.&nbsp;

Alicia Stem

Nadine is Nick's older sister, who I have had the pleasure of getting to know and grow closer with over the years since dating Nick. She is an intelligent, understanding, thoughtful and incredibly empathetic person that&nbsp;I am&nbsp;lucky to be able to call family soon. She enjoys being outdoors and traveling.&nbsp;Nadine is also very driven, as she currently travels the world for her job&nbsp;to solve one humanitarian project at a time--I do not know how she does it, but I&nbsp;admire her determination greatly.&nbsp;I am definitely&nbsp;looking forward to having her by my side in the wedding!

Nadine Hernandez

Scott is Camilla's older brother.&nbsp; Living in Fort Worth while I was at TCU, I got to meet Scott while I was in college and when I first started dating Camilla.&nbsp; Although he is&nbsp;a "Spacewars" (Star Wars)&nbsp;fan and a cat&nbsp;person, we've always shared other&nbsp;interests such as&nbsp;guns, trucks, and football.&nbsp; Is it obvious he's Texan?&nbsp; Accept any offer to watch the Cowboys with him, and&nbsp;he will have a killer BBQ ready for you.&nbsp;





Scott Stem

Spencer III is Camilla's youngest sibling.&nbsp; Although Camilla and I tried our best to get him to attend TCU, he went to Texas A&M.&nbsp; III and I have bonded over dogs, guns, and keeping a safe distance from Camilla when she's hungry. &nbsp; Smart and driven, he's going to make one great lawyer someday.
