How We Met

As most modern romances begin, Nick and Kim started talking on Tinder in March 2022. They met in person about a week or two later. They met at Green Lakes state Park and clicked. They saw the world very similarly and wanted the same things out of life. They enjoy being outside and rather chill with friends at home over hitting the bars. After meeting, they continued talking (which rarely happens with online dating) and a day or two later Nick mentioned he had time off next week and nothing to do. What started as a joke quickly turned into a legitimate plan. Kim asked for a day off at work and said why. Kim’s boss almost didn’t want to give her the day as she thought she would never come back. They decided to drive 4 hours together up to the Adirondack’s Tupper lake area, rent a cabin, and hike all weekend. That weekend, they rode up and settled in the cabin and not one moment felt awkward. Over the weekend, they hiked Arab mountain, Coney mountain, and Goodman Mountain. They were able to tackle physical exhaustion together with support and understanding. They took fun photos which Nick said he’s rarely in front of the camera and enjoyed being a model. The photo above was taken on Goodman mountain and it reflects their immediate comfort and affection. Kim returned back to work after the weekend and her co worker, Sara said when she saw the photos, “I am watching true love unfold”.
