Our Wedding

Daisy and Nick met in the Summer of 2019 at their friend, Mikayla Freemans', cabin. Daisy and Nick initially matched on Tinder, but after discovering they had similar interests and mutual friends, they decided to meet up in a group setting. Daisy and Nick would love to say, "it was love at first sight," but that would not be true. When Nick and Daisy first met, Nick was shy and awkward, so he remained silent, while Daisy, who we believe now was suffering from heat stroke, ran out the front door and puked. When everyone went to bed Nick and Daisy slept in a room together, but in separate single beds across from one another. Instead of sleeping, Nick and Daisy talked for most of the night, about what they like, their dreams, and the importance of family. Nick and Daisy both knew this love was going to be something different that they had never experienced before. Throughout the five years that Nick and Daisy have been together, it has been quite the adventure. From travelling to places like Cuba, Deerhurst Resort, Algonquin Couples Resort, or the Beer Spa, Nick and Daisy are always busy getting up to something. Nick and Daisy have also made it through many milestones, such as Nick passing his Millwright exam, Daisy graduating University, living in their first home together, and of course, the most important part, getting their fur baby Cooper. Whether they are at the cottage, in their garage, or at a Social Function, Nick and Daisy will always be the life of the party and the last ones on the dancefloor. Nick and Daisy look forward to seeing what the married life has in store for them.

Grammy is Daisys grandmother. Grammy and Daisy have always butt heads but in the silliest ways. Such as when Daisy tries to eat whip cream from the can and Grammy scolds her. Grammy has always been the glue that’s held the Walling family together. Through hosting tea parties and taking all 9 cousins to musicals, she has certainly earned the title of “Queen Grammy.” Nick and Grammy are also besties, as they talk about golf and all of Grammies stories growing up in Cambray. On the big day you can find Grammy looking beautiful as always throwing pedals down the aisle, or rolling her eyes at the Walling Cousins while they turn up the dance floor!

Mollie is Daisys cousin and one of the more responsible cousins of the Walling clan. She is incredibly fit, and loves to be active. She is also a paramedic (In case you didn’t know). Daisy has always looked at Mollie as a little sister, despite Mollie usually being the more responsible one. On the big day, Mollie can be found drinking table wine and talking about her true hero, Terry Fox.

Will, my older brother and resident king of sarcasm, will be helping guests find their seats—likely with a witty comment or two. His son Finn, my energetic nephew, is our ring bearer and is known for his wild dance moves and infectious charm. Together, they're bringing laughs, love, and a little chaos to the big day!

Maddy and Daisy were forced to be friends from a very young age, as they are actually related as cousins. Maddy and Daisy have had their ups and downs, mainly related to Daisy’s questionable choice in dating partners. Maddy became best friends with Daisy in 2021, once she determined Nick was not a loser, and they have been inseparable ever since. Maddy is kind and empathetic, but also knows how to party. On the wedding day, Maddy can either be found spinning turntables in the DJ booth, or filming TikToks of the big day!

Missy and Daisy met at around the age of 7 years old when they were in each others dance classes. Missy and Daisy danced their way through life often crossing paths, and eventually in the Summer of Grade 8 because best friends when Daisy hugged Missy and Missy reluctantly hugged her back. They have been bestfriends ever since. Missy is a selfless, inclusive women, and is one of the smartest people Daisy knows. On the big day, Missy can be found trying to make sure the bride is happy, or yelling at the groomsmen for drinking too much before the ceremony!

Taylor and Daisy met in Grade 9. Daisy was always described as the “bad influence” on Taylor, specifically by Taylor’s parents. Throughout their high school experience and into adulthood, Taylor and Daisy have been an adventurous pair, and certainly overcame their fair share of heart breaks and hangovers together. Taylor cares deeply about her friends and family, so much so that she will always have the brides back. Taylor is also a strong and confident women. On the big day, you can find Taylor on the dance floor with Daisy rapping their hearts out, or chugging back some Jack Daniels Honey.

Sami is actually Nicks sister! When Daisy first met Sami, she was extremely nervous, but came to learn quickly that Sami is the coolest chick ever. Sami and Daisy share many memories together, from going Hotdoggin’ (iykyk), to taking their dogs on play dates. Sami has truly become a little sister to Daisy. On the big day you can find Sami either trying to keep her brother out of trouble, or tearing up the dance floor with The Mum!

Mikayla and Daisy had known eachother through their friend group for quite sometime, but had never really connected until Daisy started dating Nicky, who is also Mikayla’s good friend. Mikayla and Daisy bonded over shitty ex-boyfriends and their Spotify playlist and now they have a bond that is unbreakable. Mikayla is a strong women, who doesn’t take crap from anyone! On the wedding day, Mikayla can be found finding good lighting for Instagram Stories, or texting her dog sitter to make sure her dogs are okay (we love a good dog mom!)

Mandy has been Daisys mentor and “work mom” since Daisy started working at CAS. When Daisy first met Mandy, she was intimidated, as Mandy seemed super professional. But, Daisy quickly learned that Mandy is just as silly and laid back as she is. Mandy is confident and is the type of person who knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to ruffle a few feathers to get her way. Mandy has always been Daisys go to for answering “adult” questions, and providing wisdom when Daisy enters difficult situations. On the big day, you can find Mandy constantly saying she’s too old to be in the wedding party (she really isn’t that old), or letting out her “Inner Jewish Mom”

Bailey and Daisy actually met at the Boys and Girls Club as Camp Counsellors, but only knew each other briefly, as they would share camp games to play with the kids, and vent about the crazy camp days they would have. Bailey and Daisy reconnected through their ex-boyfriend. Some may think it’s strange for a women to hang out with her boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend, but Bailey and Daisy actually found out their friendship meant way more then a stupid boy. Bailey is an amazing mother to Daisys nephew, Milton. Bailey is a hilarious human who cares deeply about her friends and family (including their dogs). On the big day, you can find Bailey breaking out the floss on the dance floor while the Bride Snapchats it,  or FaceTiming Milton goodnight!

Megan and Daisy also met through her ex-boyfriend, as he was cousins with Megan’s husband, Kyle Snoddon. It was determined that the boyfriend was a flop, but Megan made sure that Daisy stayed in the friend group, and guided Daisy through a not great relationship. Megan is a selfless person, who will always say “yes,” to Daisy’s ideas, no matter how crazy and dangerous they can be! On the big day, you can find Megan either pregaming with the bride before walking down the aisle, or saving KS from melting into a chair at midnight!

Most memorable moment: Getting all of the best food from Heather while Nick and Sami were playing outside. 

Where you can find Skylar on the Wedding Day?: Playing air guitar to Van Halen on the dance floor.

Pro: The absolute life of the party.

Con: Will try to twerk (key word- try) 

Most Memorable Moment: Nick and Brian going on a bro date to the Hardy Concert and jamming out (there is way too many memories to count)

Where you can find Brian on the Wedding Day?: Trying to convince the DJ to play Upchurch or Lil Baby

Brian

Pro: REALLY nice. 

Con: Too nice.

Most Memorable Moment: Driving Daisy home in a snow storm from Orillia in his Ford Ranger with no working windshield wipers.

Where you can find Max at the wedding?: Talking to all the middle aged women about his passion for studying rocks.

Pro: Has a really cute dog.

Con: Doesn't train legs.

Most Memorable Moment: Performing 'Baby,' by Justin Bieber in Nick and Daisys garage. 

Where Colton can be found at the wedding: Showing off his performing skills on the dance floor.

Pros: Will always be the Designated Driver.


Cons: 50% nice guy, 50% grumpy. You never know what you're going to get.

Most Memorable Moment: Trying to convince Nick to touch a electric fence, and when Nick wouldn't do it, touching it himself and being surprised when it electrocuted him.

Where you can find Dustin on the Wedding Day?: Sleeping on a chair, or grumbling because he is not asleep yet (9PM is his bedtime) 

Dustin “Dusty”

Pros: Is a very savvy electrician

Cons: Is a ginger.

Most Memorable Moment: Nearly getting all of his friends killed at a Rugby dance when he chose violence.

Where Cal can be found on the Wedding Day: Drinking weird beer and talking about all of his neat trips.

Pros: Has lots of trucks.

Cons: 75% of the trucks do not work.

Most Memorable Moment: James Barker pointing to Zach in the crowd at a concert in the Kee to Bala after Zach let James Barker Band take pictures of his truck for their album cover. 

Where Zach can be found during the wedding: Doing a burnout in the venues long driveway (please don't)

Zach

Pros: Will help Nicky with any of his crazy ideas (also has a really cool girlfriend, see photo attached) 
Cons- Is to nice to say "no," to Nickys crazy ideas 
Most memorable moment- Wrenching on bikes with Nicky in the garage.
Where you can find Timms on the wedding day?: Objecting to the wedding so he and Nick can ride off into the sunset together (don't worry, Daisy and Shannon will not be surprised)

Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lindsay

Shuttles from the Days Inn in Lindsay to the Black Diamond Golf Club will be DEPARTING from the hotel at 2:30PM to have guests at the venue for approximately 3:10PM. Please arrive 15 minutes before (2:15PM) to make sure you can secure the shuttle. Shuttles back to the Days Inn will start at 10PM and end around midnight. Should guests miss the shuttles, Poppa Ed’s Taxi (705-878-4343) is the local Taxi Company whom is providing transportation, and may have cabs, subject to their businesses availability.
