Our Story

Kelly's for one

For anyone who went to UW Oshkosh or visited has likely been asked the question "Kelly's for one?". I did not know that question (asked by my wonderful Groomsman Bryce) in October 2017 would set off a chain of events that brings us to where we are today. After getting drinks, I saw this gorgeous girl standing by the pool table. At that moment, two thoughts crossed my mind, first, I could totally beat her at pool, second, I definitely need to get her number. Shortly thereafter, I found out Taylor had never been to Red Robin, which in my broke college student brain felt like the perfect excuse to take Tay out to a dinner I could actually afford. So, for our first date Tay and I went to Red Robin which was the first and last time she has been to said establishment, but it apparently was enough of a wine and dine for her to start dating me.

Fast forward to May 2020, we decided we wanted to move to the BIG CITY / some call it the Paris of the Midwest.. aka Milwaukee in June 2020 during the midst of Covid. Our first apartment was a tiny 1 bedroom. In such close quarters during Covid, we grew so much, playing cards, learning to cook, and enjoying each other's company. A year later, we made the HUGE move across the street for a larger space. In the years since, we have been able to explore our lovely city, travel to so many amazing places, and most importantly got our Bernedoodle Ollie.

As for the proposal - in 2022, I was getting the oh-so-subtle hints that it was perhaps time to take our love story to the next level. With that, I accepted the necessary aid of 2 of Tay's best friends & Co- Maids of Honor Stephanie and Lindsey to help me choose a ring. Next, I got the green light from Mike and Cheryl (Not too tricky...they offered an excellent dowery and had been ready to offload her) and picked the date I would be asking my girlfriend to become my FianceƩ. On November 12th, 2022, during a blizzard, I got down on one knee in one of Tay and I's favorite places - St. Germain, WI.

Each of you reading this is very important to Taylor and I and has been right there with us throughout our journey. Without you, we would not be where we are today. We are so excited to have you be part of our Wedding and cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
